Ticker Display Normal
and with Escalations
A message flagged as 'Important' or 'Urgent' requires the family member to confirm the receipt of the message. If they do not, the message is further highlighted on the TV to attract attention, finally resulting in the Live TV to be turned off awaiting a phone call. If they still do not call, the service Calls the family member to confirm the message. Only if they do not confirm after that, will the service Text, Phone and/or Email the Care Giver to let them know the Family member is not responding. Confirming a message removes it from the ticker line.
Normal Ticker
This is how a message ticker would normally appear on the TV. But, if the message is Urgent, the message starts with the words PLEASE CONFIRM:
(In the language of the family member).
Escalation Level 1
The ticker turns RED if the message is not confirmed within a specified time.
Escalation Level 2
The RED ticker doubles in size if the message is not confirmed within a specified time
Esclation Level 3
The Live TV is turned off and a message appears (in the language of the family member) to call this phone number to confirm the message.
