TV Requirements
TV Messenger merges Live TV or Streaming TV along with a scrolling ticker along the bottom of the image, as well as other effects. For some of its applications, it may take over the entire TV screen to display information.
The video source feeding the TV signal you normally watch, must come from an external device such as a cable TV box or a streaming device like a Roku. You also need an internet connection. This may be a hardwired Ethernet connection or WiFi connectivity.
The HDMI output from the TV signal source, which normally plugs into the the TV itself, is instead plugged into a TV Messenger device called the M-brAIn. This device in turn connects directly with your TV and becomes the new input source. Sitting between the TV input signal and the TV, the M-brAIN can combine the TV signal with its own information.
TV Messenger does not play well with video game consoles like an X-box. This is because the M-brAIn introduces a small delay as it processes video signals to combine with other information. So one feels a slight delay between interactions with the game controller and the video response of the TV.
Some Smart TV's have streaming devices built into the TV itself and are not compatible with the TV Messenger Service. If you are unsure if your TV is compatible with the service, please contact us to ask.
